You hire Mick to carry out the agreed job. He brings and operates the appropriate machine and attachments, then completes any associated building work included in the quotation. You are arranging one joined-up service rather than coordinating a separate operator, machinery provider and builder.
02Do you offer self-drive machine hire?
No. JEM Plant Hire provides operated hire, so Mick attends the site and operates the equipment throughout the work.
03Do I need to know which machine I need?
No. Tell us what needs doing, the ground conditions and the available access. Mick will recommend the most appropriate machine and attachments for the work.
04What machines are available?
The fleet includes a Bobcat Z10 micro digger, Kobelco SK17 digger, SANY SY26 digger, Thwaites one-tonne Hi-Tip dumper and JCB tracked dumper. This provides options for restricted domestic access through to larger excavations.
05What attachments can you bring?
Available equipment includes digging buckets, grading equipment, breakers and specialist material-handling tools. The attachments are matched to the job and remain subject to availability.
06Can you work in gardens with restricted access?
Yes, depending on the available route and site conditions. The micro digger and tracked dumper are suited to tighter domestic sites. Include the access width and any restrictions when describing the job so Mick can assess what will fit safely.
07What types of work do you undertake?
Typical work includes domestic groundworks, foundations, drainage and trenching, garden clearance, driveways, patios, landscaping preparation, brickwork, walls, repairs and associated building work. Tell us about the complete job so Mick can assess the full scope.
08Which areas do you cover?
JEM Plant Hire is based in Hipperholme and covers the surrounding West Yorkshire area, including Lightcliffe, Brighouse, Northowram, Shelf, Halifax, Elland, Sowerby Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge and nearby locations.
09What should I include in a quotation request?
Please include as much information about the job as possible, together with your name, telephone number and postcode. This helps Mick understand the work and recommend the right setup.
